About the Role:
Trinity IT is seeking a proactive and organized Training Specialist II to support the design, development, and delivery of training programs for our contract supporting the US Navy. This role plays a key part in enhancing workforce performance by providing engaging, effective, and relevant training experiences using a variety of instructional methods.
This position is contingent on contract award.
This position requires a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearance, which requires US citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct and supervise training and development programs to enhance employee/external customer skills, performance, and knowledge.

Design and implement lesson plans, course materials, and teaching strategies tailored to workforce needs.

Utilize various training methods such as on-the-job training, classroom instruction, electronic learning, video tutorials, simulators, workshops, and distance learning platforms.

Research and assess performance gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions.

Coordinate training logistics including scheduling, materials, locations, and technology setup.

Lead classroom sessions, monitor learner progress, and provide feedback and support throughout the training process.

Collaborate with supervisors and department leads to align training with organizational goals and operational needs.

Track participant completion, issue certificates, and evaluate training program effectiveness.

For government-supported programs, act as a case manager—assessing individual training needs and guiding clients through tailored training paths.
Qualifications:

Active SECRET clearance.

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or related Training Systems discipline.

10+ years of professional experience in curriculum development.

Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.

Familiarity with a variety of instructional methods and adult learning principles.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and/or training delivery platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams, LMS systems).

Comfortable presenting to diverse audiences in both virtual and in-person settings.
