Description

As a SkillBridge Business Developer intern, you will play a pivotal role in driving growth and expanding our business by identifying potential clients, building valuable relationships, and assisting in the creation and execution of sales strategies. Your enthusiasm for sales and business, combined with your strong communication skills, will be instrumental in contributing to the overall success of our organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Generation: Assist in identifying and researching potential clients, industries, and market segments to generate new business opportunities.

  • Client Outreach: Reach out to prospects via various communication channels (phone, email, social media) to introduce our products/services and schedule meetings or presentations.

  • Relationship Building: Nurture and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients to understand their needs and identify opportunities for collaboration.

  • Written Proposal Support: Provide support to the development team by preparing proposals and presentations to effectively communicate our value proposition to clients.

  • Market Research: Conduct market research to stay updated with industry trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.

  • Pipeline Management: Assist in tracking and managing the sales pipeline, ensuring all interactions and progress are properly documented in the CRM system.

  • Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build connections and represent the organization positively.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to align business development efforts with overall company objectives.

  • Reporting: Generate regular reports on business development activities and contribute insights to improve strategies and processes.

 

Requirements:

  • Requires SkillBridge Eligibility:
    • Have 180 days of service or fewer remaining prior to your date of discharge and you have at least 180 continuous days of active service.
    • Obtain approval from your unit commander.
    • Agree that participation in SkillBridge can be terminated at any time by the service if mission requirements dictate.
  • Educational Background: A degree or diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but practical experience and a strong interest in business development will also be considered.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage with clients and convey the organization's value proposition.

  • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain productive relationships with clients and team members.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting quickly to changing priorities and challenges.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to identify opportunities and overcome obstacles.

  • Goal-Oriented: Motivated to achieve and exceed business development targets and contribute to the growth of the organization.
